Similarly to promotional diaries, promotional calendars are most popular towards late summer and autumn, ready for distribution late in the year. This is quite simply because most people keep calendars that run from January to December, so promotional activity using calendars will typically follow this pattern. There are some exceptions. For example schools and other academic institutions might follow the academic year for their calendars, starting their calendars in September and running them until the end of August.
There are many good calendars available in a selection of pictures. Choose from pictures of wildlife, domestic animals or scenery, landmarks or fine art. And then there is a choice of sizes. Many calendars come in the 492mm X 342mm size category (or 342mm X 492mm) whilst others 302mm X 438mm (again, or rotated).
Some of the calendars will show 2 months per page, giving a 6 page calendar, whilst other will have a just one month to the page, providing a much bigger calendar, although this will usually be reflected in the price of the basic item.
Where your logo or contact details fit on the calendar will usually depend on the chosen subject of the calendar. You should expect that if you are printing the details on all pages there will be a predefined area for your logo, else on certain items there might just be room for your customisation on the first page of the calendar.
The photography and artwork on these calendars is of a very high standard and the overall impressions are great. Your recipients should be proud to hang up your calendars and display them as a reference point for the entire year, advertising you and your company to all who pass by for at least a year. Choose a subject that your recipient is really interested in and you might just find that a page or two of the calendar are saved and hung up in a position of honour for years to come. Just match the subject to your audience and you never know!
